15.1 HH mare looking for the right home. She was sold to me as a trail horse, but it has become clear that trail riding is not where she's happiest. She tends to be tense on the trails. In the arena, however, she really shines. She enjoys obstacle work, does well with cow sorting, and is a willing partner for arena activities. She has an exceptional personality-she'll meet you at the gate, loves attention, and is very sweet to handle. She has difficulty picking up and maintaining the right lead. Because of this, I believe she is best suited as a walk/trot horse. She would make a wonderful prospect for 4-H, riding lessons, obstacle courses, or someone looking for a kind, personable arena partner. She could also make a nice broodmare prospect. To my knowledge, she has had one healthy foal in the past. With additional time, consistency, and a younger rider who enjoys bringing along a horse, I believe she has the potential to continue improving on the trails. Unfortunately, I'm at a stage where I'd rather spend my remaining riding years simply enjoying the ride instead of taking on another project. This decision has been difficult because she truly is a sweet mare who deserves a home where her strengths are appreciated.
