Roxy” as we call her has been with us since 2019, she has been my personal riding horse since then. The memories we’ve made together are countless. I’m not sure where to start. Roxy spent a few years in Canada after she was sold as a yearling by her breeder (whom I know, she was bred and born in our community) When I purchased her in 2019 she was well started in harness but only ridden a few times. I bought her after me and a few of my friends decided we wanted to start a Friesian Cross Ridden Drill Team. Throughout my childhood my family bred and raised Haflinger horses so a Friesian/Percheron Cross was a pretty big change for me as far as training, but Roxy truly was and still is such an easy and teachable horse and she made it easy for me. Roxy was/is my go to horse, we have done countless drill team performances from the bright lights of the arena in front of thousands to a pasture out in the country in front of local crowds :) Roxy loved every aspect of it. She will step right up to the biggest stage. Roxy has also done many, many miles of trail riding both with me on her back as well as occasionally an inexperienced rider (such as my husband) . . She takes to best care of whomever has the pleasure of riding her. She also has pretty extensive arena training, she has a super rideable and easy walk/trot and canter. She knows her leads as well as leg pressure. She is always ridden in either a simple snaffle or a kimberwick. We’ve also been a part of quite a few local clinics. Roxy is trained to drive and the first few years I had her we drove her quite a bit but over the last 3 years, she was mostly ridden. Roxy was leased out to a young girl that wanted to be on the drill team but needed a horse to teach her the ropes, Roxy stepped to the plate and did her job. The only reason I am offering her is I am now married and have a family of my own and simply do not have the time for her that she deserves. . . .I do not want her to just be a pasture puppy until my kids are old enough to learn how to ride. Roxy also blessed me with two beautiful fillies. She is an excellent mama but also has so much more to offer. So if you are looking for that been there, done that horse from performing in front of thousands to casually walking down the trail, Roxy can do it all. She can lay down on cue and also knows the Spanish walk. I am hoping I can find her a forever home, where she will be appreciated and loved. She deserves nothing less. I’ve been blessed to have had some very special horses in my life but none have quite reached my heart like Roxy has. There are very few horses that have beauty, heart, and try as much as she does. She is my “one in a lifetime” horse. Roxy has never had any health issues, lameness, colic etc. A PPE is available at your expense. For more videos and pictures please reach out to me. You can also find her performing on YouTube, just search “Friesian Heritage Drill Team” . Shipping Notes Shipping available in the USA
