A beautiful 18 year old thoroughbred mare standing at 16.0 hands by Fisher Pond out of Champagne Lace. Maggie is an intermediate rider's dream; a sensitive, forward thinking mare, with three nice gaits who enjoys having a job to do. After transitioning from the hunter world, she has spent the last 6 months in dressage work, earning scores of 72% at Introductory Level and 69% at Training Level.
She is straightforward to handle:
-Stands well in cross ties or stall
-Stands well for shoeing and veterinary work
-Easy to administer medication
-Easy to bath/clip
-Easy to catch in paddock
-Loads in trailer well
-Minimal maintenance
-Very trainable
While Maggie is a very sweet and gentle horse, she can be responsive to the external environment and needs a confident rider to help guide her. She is not suitable for a beginner. Additionally, given her age and history she does have some arthritis. X-Rays are available upon request.
