Johnny Cash is the gentle, willing and well trained partner you’ve been looking for. Rarely is such a flashy, handsome horse matched with such a sensible demeanor. On the ground he is polite and friendly. Seeks human connection but not pushy about it. Knows ground work well.
In the arena, he is content to hack around quietly or ready to engage for more. Steady in the pace you set. Knows his lateral well, no spur or whip required. Soft in the reins with or without contact. Accepts snaffle or leverage appropriately. Comfortable movement. Forward but with excellent breaks.
Johnny Cash is capable and solid out on the trail. He is surefooted in single track technical terrain and up and down steep hills. Seasoned through water crossing, mud and is always happy to ride. Brave leader and remains relaxed following. Goes out alone confidently. Not barn sour. Pony’s other horses well, and is ponied well.
He is seasoned both western and english aims to please no matter the task. Has done extensive obstacle work, trail rides, worked cattle, carries the flag, started ground poles , cross rails and been an all around family horse.
He has been exposed to both busy barn life of a barn as well as ranch environment. With activity from tractors, equipment, canines, motorbikes, etc. Lived in stall and been pastured with other horses, no problems. Trailers easily, calm in new environments, ties well. No vices.
He could be paired with a beginner under appropriate guidance. This horse is not shut down and is sensitive.
He is ready to continue his riding career in any direction with a great attitude. He loves connecting with his rider and is just as much of a pleasure to ride and handle as he is to look at.
He has had the training put in, he has had the time put in. He is a been there, done that Horse and eager to do it again. Guided by only very experienced trainers.
