If you are looking for the perfect trail horse for your husband, kid, friends who come to ride every once in a while then Tex is your guy! If he has a buddy to follow he will give whoever is on him a great ride. He is a sweet 23-25 year old trail horse. Standing at 15 hands tall this guy is perfect for anyone. He has been used for daily trail rides in a dude string and it is time for him to have a little slower paced life. He has taken kids from 8 years old all the way to 70 years young on many rides in the mountains. This guy has no spook, buck, or bolt on the trail. He will not lead the ride, but will go anywhere in the string with no issues.

He would do best in a small herd where he will not get pushed out when it comes time for feeding. Due to his age, he does not stand up for himself and when it comes time to eat at the feeders or hay, he typically will get pushed out, so we did grain him over the winter to help keep his weight in check.

Tex does great standing at the hitching post and loading in the trailer. He does good for the farrier, but does need breaks to let his feet down every now and then, due to his age.

If you are looking for a trustworthy horse to take you on the trails, this is your man. He does not do arena work, but if you have a child who is ok with being ponied, he will do great.

Text does need a buddy to do trail rides with, he will not go out on his own.
