Meet Malabar he has a puppy dog willing to please attitude. He is broke to both ride and drive. I only have riding videos currently and will hopefully get some driving videos here soon to add. Malabar is 3yrs old and 15 hands tall he is currently going through a teenager gangly growth spurt right now we don’t expect him to get too much taller but there’s always that possibility. He should fill out more though. Breed wise your guess is as good as mine. The only thing we know for sure is he has some Friesian, but other than that he’s a mutt or what I call a 10 way cross. But a very lovable mutt. He does seem to have the Friesian tail it’s very long and wavy. His mane does get long when he’s not in with a hungry colt that likes to snack on it. So if you can look past the gangly teenage phase and see that he has potential he’s just a late bloomer. But the most important thing about Malabar is his personality and he has a lot of try in him he really does want to please. He is a puppy dog personality very friendly in your pocket which does remind me of my Morgans so I would suspect he has a smidgen of Morgan. He’s also very smart he catches on to new things quickly and he doesn’t forget easily. He knows how to move off of your leg and can pick up the correct leads. He stands still for mounting and he’s good for the farrier. He gets along well in the pasture. He’s easy to catch in fact too easy. He’ll come catch himself when you’re trying to get a different horse. He loads right up in the trailer and hauls well. He stands good for tacking. He is good with fly spray and getting hosed off. His gaits are SMOOTH. Very nice canter and an easy to post to trot or you can also sit to it as well. He is fine with traffic and he’s safe under harness. He will go out on the trails anywhere crosses creeks and big logs and little bridges. He can keep a level head when we fall in a mucky hole in the river too! He will leave home alone just fine. He has the right foundation and all the hard work has been done and he’s ready to continue his journey with hopefully his forever home. And I really can’t say enough about how sweet he is and very ready to please. His personality is what wins him new friends. And he is NOT spooky he has been desensitized to all sorts of things and he just has a naturally calm mind to him. He’s also quite used to a doggy sidekick jumping in and out of brush at him and running full blast up behind and passing him down the trails too. He comes up to date on shots, dewormings, coggins, and ppe. Located in Hesperia MI Just call or send a message if you want to come see him or with questions.
