2017 Draft cross gelding. About 15hands (haven’t taped him officially).
Loving personality and will go all day for you. Farrier likes him and he takes shoes well but rarely needs them. Catches easy, stands tied, and isn’t phased by my teenager’s shenanigans. If he’s alone he can be pushy, but that doesn’t last much past a little correcting. Because of that, I’d say he’s not a beginner’s/kid’s horse. Absolutely adores kids otherwise and why his name, Sven, suits him so well. We’ve roped off him and he’s been doctored off of, but doesn’t have a ton of speed. He likes to please and have something to do or just ride the trail with a friend. I could see him being a very solid hunting buddy to someone as you can really put on the miles with his fast walk.
As I write this, the more I wish he didn’t need to find a new home. We are only selling because we have others we ride more and he has too much love to give to sit in the field.
