Princess
Princess, a great barrel prospect, or any direction you could want her to go, is a coming 2-year-old filly. She's a big bay colored girl with plenty of size + style. Princess has an hourglass shaped white blaze face and lots of "chrome" on her legs, glossy black mane + tail. She has plenty of width and muscle, straight legs and a big square hip.
Princess' dam is a big old-style squared up Quarter Horse with bloodlines back to Driftwood, Waggoner and Hankins horses on her dam's side. Her sire is bred from Foundation Appaloosas on one side and more contemporary Appaloosa shows horses like Prince Plaudit, Joker B on the other side.
Princess is classified as a non-conforming Appaloosa in the Appaloosa Horse Club of America's registry. This just means she has not yet displayed spots, blanket, sclera eyes, or striped hooves. When the traits appear, she can be reclassified without the "non-conforming" tag on her registry certificate by submitting updated pictures.
We are working with Princess now; starting her education by tying her, loading her, working in the round pen, grooming, bathing and trimming her feet. She has accepted everything calmly, seems to welcome our attention. Will continue to explore her talents and build on her abilities.
With her substantial strength, Princess should be able to do any of the ranch tasks assigned to her. We are looking forward to seeing how she negotiates them and solves the problem. Princess gives every indication that she will make a great partner anywhere you may need her.
