Norman is an exceptionally friendly, people-oriented gelding who consistently meets his handler at the gate. Originally acquired as a prospect for trail and mounted patrol work, he has developed into a well-rounded horse with a gentle, calm disposition. He has undergone extensive desensitization training and exhibits excellent ground manners; notably, he remained completely unfazed by high-stimulation environments, such as the local county fair, despite the surrounding noise and crowds. Norman is well-started under saddle, showing proficiency in walk, trot, and canter. He is responsive to leg cues, maintains a soft mouth, and rides both in an arena setting and out on the trail, whether alone or in a group. He is a pleasure to handle, loading and unloading with ease, and standing patiently for the farrier, veterinarian, and while tied to a pole or cross-ties. His riding schedule has been inconsistent over the past year due to other barn priorities, hes what I would consider green under saddle but a sensible partner with potential. He has a current coggins.
