Melody was professionally trained and shown as a young horse at Scottsdale in both reining and hunter pleasure, and could be tuned back up for those disciplines, ranch riding, or..? We got her two years ago for my now 12yo daughter after she’d been standing around unused for several years. With us, she’s done 4H in a variety of events including bareback, showmanship, hunter pleasure, jumping and gaming, as well as doing saddle club (gaming), ETS (Equine Trail Sports), and trail riding. Has jumped courses and schooled 2’6 at home! Sound and healthy, UTD on vaxx, deworming, feet, and teeth. Good for vet, farrier, clipping, hauling, bathing, blanketing, tidy in her stall and easy on fences, etc. Take her somewhere new and she gets down to work after a little warmup, not generally spooky, just an occasional jump in place or short startle forward. She needs a confident rider because she will occasionally throw a buck or get excited/hot, but nothing my daughter hasn’t been able to handle. No gate or ring sourness, goes in solo or rides with a group, but does tend to not like other horses until she gets to know them. Not necessarily kicky, but swings her butt and puts her ears back. Can also be buddy sour initially when she goes somewhere with a friend but then separated, or if she’s turned out alone first. Likes people, always easy to catch. Good on trails, goes through/over everything including mud and water, but if not consistently trail ridden can get hot/prancy (not barn sour). Could do endurance as well! Zero maintenance but has been enjoying occasional PEMF and chiropractic sessions to keep her feeling her best. Have PPE results from two years ago I’m happy to share. My daughter sadly wants to focus on gaming and get a QH like her friends, but Melody has a lot of years left to be enjoyed! Not in a rush to sell, we just want to find her the best match and hopefully a forever home. Have tons more pictures and video of her I can share to interested parties.
