Easy Daisy Folkert is a 2023 double-registered Friesian Sporthorse & registered Half-Quarter Horse. She is an absolute beginner-safe and kid-safe horse.
Her barn name is Oakley. Oakley is built more like a quarter horse. She stands at 14 hands, with more growing to do! We owned both of her parents, who were 15 hands and phenomenal horses with great minds.
On the Friesian side, Oakley is out of Doaisen 420, the only KFPS (Royal Friesian Horse Studbook in Holland) approved breeding stallion to earn the USEF (United States Equestrian Federation) Friesian Sire of the Year award for four years in a row! Oakley’s is also out of Wander352, who starred in the movie Bedazzled with Brendan Frazer and Elizabeth Hurley.
On the Quarter horse side, Oakley is out of Bully Bullion, Dash for Cash, Shawne Bug, and Two Eyed Jack bringing lots of speed and cow sense!
Oakley was raised & trained using a combination of John Lyons, Clinton Anderson & Dan James methods. Oakley has been handled and groomed every day of her life, as we do with all of our horses. We used Oakley to teach my daughter how to barrel race, but Oakley could go in any direction.
Oakley has not had her legs run off of her. She has been taken slowly and taught how to be a good horse. She is ready to go into the discipline of your choosing. We hauled her to many large and small arenas across Ohio, as well as sending her to a barrel horse trainer. My daughter rode her in a Connie Combs Barrel Racing Clinic. Everyone loved Oakley at the clinic!
Oakley has trail ridden extensively at home and at riding trails. She rides safely on the road. She ponies other horses, and can be ponied herself. She has been a great horse for teaching younger horses how to behave and for teaching a beginner how to ride. Oakley handles easily on the ground, ties and bathes easily, loads easily, stands calmly for the farrier, and has good, strong hooves. She has been regularly dewormed and vaccinated.
Oakley has seen and done it all! If you want a young horse with a great mind, this is your horse! She has many years of great riding ahead of her!
