Crawford is an 11-year-old (2015), 16.3 hand Danish Warmblood dressage gelding with a wonderful personality and a great way of going. He’s a sensitive horse who really connects with his person. His sire Crelido was the 2012 Danish Stallion of the Year and competed in both dressage and show jumping at the upper levels. His imported dam Smilla is by the legendary Schwadroneur, who was a highly successful Grand Prix dressage horse. Crawford had some time off over the winter and is still getting back into his usual level of fitness, but he’s schooled through second level with easy lateral work. Though he’d have clear potential to move up the levels, findings on x-ray suggest a lower level career is probably ideal for him. These findings and lack of show record (due to owner’s lifestyle and not to any fault of his) are reflected in his price. In addition to being a lovely dressage partner, he hacks out alone or with company and enjoys cavaletti work. He has been barefoot his entire life and can live in or out. He’s well-mannered on the ground and is good for the vet and farrier. I’m more than happy to share his full medical history with serious inquiries.
