Rosco | 22-Year-Old AQHA Gelding | 15.2 hh

Some horses are special because of what they can do. Others are special because of who they are. Rosco is both.

At 22, Rosco has truly been there, done that. He has countless trail miles and a solid, dependable brain that is hard to put a price on. Since coming into our barn, we’ve put him to the test as a beginner lesson horse, and he has absolutely risen to the occasion. He has had beginners walk, trot, canter, ride trails, and participate in lunge line lessons, and through it all he has remained sweet, kind, patient, and gentle.

We could see Rosco being an incredible confidence-builder for a kiddo learning to ride, a young rider needing a trustworthy partner, or an adult looking for a casual riding and trail horse.

Rosco does have an age-related swayback, and at 22, we want to be upfront that he is an older horse. He is sound and comfortable, but may have some age-related stiffness and will need the care and maintenance that comes with being a senior.

More than anything, we want to find Rosco his family. Someone who looks past his age and swayback and sees the years of experience, the kind heart, and the priceless brain underneath. He has so much love and companionship left to give, and he deserves a home that will love and care for him for the rest of his days.

Rosco is located in Creswell, Or
