Jewel is looking for a new address to call home as a riding horse. She has gone hundreds of miles in the Bob Marshall Wilderness as a main string horse and occasional pack horse. Being out on the trail is what she knows best. She will walk, trot, canter, side pass, open gates, turn on the front, and turn on the back. Jewel is a very forward and sensitive ride. If there is a place to go, she aims to get there in half the time. Rides in groups or alone, but she is a lot more enjoyable to ride solo. She can get anxious in a groups of horses. Good to hobble and picket. I ride her in a snaffle out on the trail and typically use a bosal for arena work. We are looking to amp up our breeding program and i dont prefer to us her as a broodmare. Has had 2 colts though. Good mother and easy births. She did present with urinary incontinence 2 weeks post foaling for unknown reasons. Was treated with anti inflammatory and antibiotic as a precaution but eventually she regained control of her bladder. Wears 0 size shoes all around. Her ideal home will ride her often and consistently. Shes not the type to sit for a long time and go for a 5 mile ride. She has energy to go and places to be. 30 mile days fit her best. Experienced riders apply, I could see where she could be intimidating for beginners. Plenty of videos on this page!
