Irish Sport Horse Broodmare — For Sale
9-year-old, 16.3H Irish Sport Horse broodmare offered to an experienced home or first-time breeder. I am no longer breeding and am reducing my herd, so this is a difficult but necessary sale.
She is an exceptionally easy breeder and has produced three beautiful foals for me, all big, athletic and grey. She is a big-bodied mare with substantial bone, big feet and an athletic Irish Sport Horse type.
Pedigree:
Sired by Rhyd’s Sea Quest, a Class 1 Irish Draught stallion by Sea Crest. Sea Crest is the sire of the legendary Irish Sport Horse Cruising, who went on to become one of the most influential performance sires in Irish sport-horse breeding. Cruising’s notable progeny include Flexible, a highly accomplished international jumper and eventing sire. (Irish Draught)
Her dam is an Oldenburg × Thoroughbred, giving her an excellent combination of Irish, warmblood and Thoroughbred blood.
She is registered Irish Sport Horse and was inspected through Westfalen.

Important: She is being sold as a broodmare only. She is not trained to ride.
She was kicked in the stifle as a 2-year-old, resulting in a stifle fracture. She is pasture sound but is not being represented as a riding horse.
Her only vice is that she does not like having her feet trimmed. Fortunately, her feet are excellent and require very little maintenance.
I am accepting offers now and would like to find her a new home within the next few weeks. I would love to see her go somewhere she can continue to contribute to a breeding program.
She would be an excellent choice for an experienced breeder or someone looking to start with a proven, easy-breeding mare.
