4-year-old, 15.2h registered Irish Sport Horse mare by Cappa Irish Charmer.

Rumor is a lovely homebred mare out of my TB-cross heart horse and was bred to be my personal riding horse. Unfortunately, after multiple surgeries of my own, I no longer feel I can fairly bring along a young, green horse and am looking for the right situation for her.

Rumor had 30 days of professional training earlier this year and was started under saddle. Shortly afterward, she injured a front proximal suspensory and came home for rehab. She completed 60 days of stall rest and was cleared by my veterinarian to gradually return to work. Unfortunately, during the height of our hot, humid coastal NC summer, she also developed anhidrosis (decreased/lack of sweating), so I elected to stop work again while addressing that.

Because of the anhidrosis, preference will be given to a home in a cooler climate. I believe getting her out of our extreme heat and humidity would give her the best opportunity going forward.

Rumor is green and will need an experienced horse person who is comfortable bringing along a young horse and allowing her the time she needs. She is not being represented as a finished riding horse. Full veterinary history is available, and I am happy to speak openly with serious prospective buyers about everything we have done with her.

This is a difficult sale of a horse I bred and intended to keep for life, so finding an appropriate, knowledgeable home is extremely important to me. Reasonably priced to reflect her current stage of training and disclosed medical history.
