Ben is a beautiful 14-year-old, 75% Friesian Sport Horse and honestly one of those horses that is hard not to fall in love with. He is incredibly sweet, quiet, willing and beginner friendly, just a genuinely good boy with an easygoing personality.
He has that perfect middle of the road ride everyone looks for. He’s not lazy and he’s not hot or overly forward. He will happily walk, trot or canter when asked and doesn’t need to be constantly pushed forward or held back. He rides beautifully alone or with a group and is a wonderful, dependable trail horse.
Ben is experienced with trail obstacles and takes things in stride. He will go through water, cross bridges and navigate different obstacles confidently, making him a really enjoyable horse for trails and obstacle work.
Ben also drives both single and double and is accustomed to traffic, which makes him a really nice option for someone who wants a horse they can enjoy both riding and driving.
He is incredibly uncomplicated to own. Ben can have months off in the pasture, come out, get tacked up and go right back to riding without needing to be lunged or worked down first. He is comfortable living in a stall or pasture, gets along wonderfully with other horses, ties, stands quietly and does not crib.
He is sound with clean legs and no known injuries or vices. No spook, bite, kick, rear or bolt. Ben has a gorgeous full Friesian mane and tail, current coggins and is up to date on deworming. Stance calmly for farrier and Vet.
Ben has been very loved, so finding the right person for him genuinely matters to us. We are preparing to move out of state and are finding wonderful homes for our horses, which is the only reason he is being offered.
I would love to see him go to someone who wants a safe, trustworthy horse to enjoy and make memories with, whether that means relaxing trail rides, obstacle work, riding around the farm or hitching up for a drive. He really is a special boy and deserves a wonderful home.
