Meet Wednesday! Wednesday was born and raised with us and has all the qualities to become an exceptional horse. She is a beautiful mover with tremendous potential for the right person willing to invest the time in her development. Wednesday leads and loads into a trailer well, though she will benefit from continued and consistent work on her ground manners. She does well in a herd environment and is typically middle of the pecking order. A brave, confident mare, Wednesday approaches new situations with curiosity and willingness. She settles nicely in a stall, does well turned out, and has the mindset and athletic ability to excel with consistent training. If you’re looking for a young horse with talent, confidence, and a strong foundation to build upon, Wednesday is a promising prospect with a bright future ahead. Wednesday is currently available through Colonial Williamsburg’s Equine Placement Program. As part of our commitment to the long-term wellbeing of our horses, we thoughtfully seek new homes for horses whose next chapter may be better suited outside of our working carriage and historic interpretation programs. We are committed to finding all of our horses a safe, supportive, and permanent home. As a nonprofit organization committed to the lifelong wellbeing and responsible placement of our horses, the following requirements apply to the purchase of any Colonial Williamsburg equine: Provide proof of appropriate shelter, pasture, and daily care either on their property or at an approved boarding facility. • Provide 3 references in regards to equine care and management. • Sign an agreement including no-auction, first refusal, and humane care provisions to ensure the horse’s lifelong wellbeing.
