Introducing C Born Fresh Z, affectionately known as “Frankie,” a seriously quality Zangersheide gelding who has competed at the upper levels of eventing and has all the makings of an exceptional partner for the right rider.
Imported in 2022 after competing successfully in the UK, Frankie continued his eventing career in the United States through Intermediate level. He was purchased in October 2025 for a teenager with aspirations of transitioning into the Big Eq ring. Ultimately, a busy schedule prevented them from maintaining the consistent program Frankie thrives in, and his owner has decided to focus on a different direction.
Frankie is a striking 16.2h gelding with four white socks, a naturally uphill build, beautiful movement, and a canter to die for.
🌟 DRESSAGE
This is where Frankie truly shines. Throughout his eventing career he regularly produced competitive dressage scores in the 20s, and he is straightforward and enjoyable on the flat. He has the quality, movement, balance, and education to transition beautifully into straight dressage. He could walk into the Second Level ring now and be competitive, with every indication that Third Level and beyond is well within his ability.
🌟 JUMPING
Frankie is talented and experienced, but he does have some opinions and quirks over fences. He prefers a soft, tactful ride with a confident leader who can keep his focus on the job and ride forward through the occasional spook or enthusiasm after the fence. He is not appropriate for a timid or beginner rider.
With the right rider and some additional fitness, a young professional could have a very exciting horse to develop into the 1.10m+ ring. He could also be an incredible partner for a brave, dedicated teenager or adult who appreciates a talented horse with some personality.
🌟 IN THE BARN
Frankie is about as easy as they come. He is friendly, loves his people, and is an exceptionally easy keeper. He is straightforward for grooming, crossties, bathing, farrier, handling and trailering. He has been comfortable in a stall with individual turnout and has successfully lived in a variety of management situations. He has maintenance appropriate for his age, level and experience, which we are happy to discuss with serious buyers.
Frankie may not be the horse for everyone, but he is absolutely a quality partner for the right person. His price reflects that he is currently getting his competition body and fitness back and requires a capable rider, not a lack of quality or ability.
