If you are looking for a show stopping horse for the top levels-this is your guy. Saint Laurent aka Steve (yes, Steve!) is absolutely in a category of his own. Not only is he stunning with spectacular gaits, he is level headed (nearly unflappable), comfortable to sit and easy to handle. This horse checks everyone's boxes and he has shown us just what he is capable of this year. Imported in November 2025, he quickly qualified for the 2026 4yo Festival of Champions in a matter of two shows. Scoring 8.4 in his first outing. He has endless scope to his gaits, in fact we are just scratching the surface of his ability in this program where we prioritize horse happiness and care over "ramping it up". He is schooling shoulder in, leg-yields, medium gaits and Walk-Canter.
Steve is absolutely a horse for the future, but he doesn't require a 7 day a week program. He is easy to handle and level headed about every scenario. He is not spooky, has had very few "4yo" moments in his nearly year here, he hacks out alone or in a group-we trail rode all over Lamplight Eq center alone happily-stands for the farrier, the vet, bodyworkers, no stable vices and no bad habits. He is truly a one of a kind, very special horse. I guarantee the first person to sit on him will take him home the same day!
