Colonel — Gentle, Uncomplicated Trail Gelding
Colonel is a beautiful 14.3-hand grade chestnut Quarter Horse gelding, estimated to be 16–18 years young. If you're looking for a seasoned, dependable trail horse that just wants to take care of his rider and enjoy the ride, Colonel is the kind that's hard to find.
He is completely non-spooky and uncomplicated on the trail. Point him where you want to go and he goes. He will walk, trot, and canter nicely, although he's happiest cruising along at an easy walk or jog. He will ride out alone, is not buddy sour, and gets along well with other horses.
Colonel will also do a little gymkhana/play-day type work when asked. He will highline, hobble, pony colts, and is comfortable doing the kinds of things you'd expect from a seasoned trail horse.
He has great feet, sound legs, and is healthy and up to date on vaccinations. His feet were just done, and he stands wonderfully for the farrier. He is an easy keeper, easy to catch, and loads right into the trailer. Last dental date is unknown.
