Everything has been done right with this horse. Beatrix is an ANCCE-registered (not yet revised but could be) mare who was born on a huge cattle ranch in New Mexico. Well-bred by accomplished bridlehorsemen, she had the freedom to begin life exploring the rocky expanses and canyons of the 300-acre mare & foal pasture. I have raised her with care since she was a yearling and she has never had a negative human interaction. Her athletic and powerful movement will take your breath away. Add to that the fact that she is extremely intelligent, personable, and loves to work — she is the “whole enchilada,” as they say.

She has natural self-carriage and her movement is animated and big and it will quite simply stop you in your tracks. For the rider, her trot is proving to be smooth and sittable and her rocking-chair canter, a dream. She is well-mannered on the ground and under saddle. She trailers well and has no vices. She has the typical PRE intelligence, people-oriented nature, and spice.

Because she is so smart and has always been treated fairly, she does best when she understands what is being asked of her. She has the trainability and temperament to excel in a wide variety of equestrian disciplines, including dressage, working equitation, cattle work, or as a bridle horse.

Beatrix has been thoughtfully started 90 days under saddle and has participated beautifully in a classical dressage / working equitation clinic as a very green horse. She has also been on several short trail rides and exhibits a curious, calm and brave demeanor. In short, Beatrix is a well-rounded, capable, lovely, and impressive horse who has been carefully and thoughtfully prepared for whatever direction her future takes her. She would also make an excellent prospect for a breeding program. (She loves youngsters and I believe that she would be an excellent mother.)
