Roman is a 13-year-old grade draft cross gelding who is a pleasure to work with and genuinely wants to learn and please his person. He has a super sweet personality and, once he connects with you, he becomes an absolute in-your-pocket horse.
🏇 Under saddle, Roman:
• Walks, trots, and lopes
• Has a solid stop
• Knows his leads
• Started on haunch turns and side passing
• Will mount from a mounting block or from the ground
• Is forward-moving but will collect up with work
• Loads and hauls well in a horse trailer
• Stands tied quietly for grooming

Roman has been exposed to cows, yaks, other horses, kids, and dogs. He is not very spooky. He may hesitate from time to time when unsure of something, but I have not had him blow up or become unsafe in these situations.
He would make a great trail prospect and has the ability to thrive in the show ring. With continued training and finishing, I could easily see him becoming a fantastic young adult, WAHSET, or 4-H horse with the right guidance and support.
⚠️ Roman is best suited for an intermediate rider but would be great for an advanced beginner with help. He is forward-moving and still needs finishing, he isn’t out of control just forward till he settles in about 5 minutes into the ride. With consistency this will improve and has already.
His biggest quirks are that he does not like fly spray and doesn’t particularly enjoy being hosed down. His fly-spray manners have improved significantly with consistent work, but he is not 100% there yet.
Roman has the mindset, personality, and willingness to become a really special horse for someone willing to put the finishing touches on him.
