Zarah is a sweet and beautiful Friesian/Arabian mare... she's a mover! Absolutely beautiful natural gaits. If you're looking for warmblood movement in a smaller, easier to handle package - this is your girl!
She's kind hearted, with no vices and an excellent build - great shoulder angle and hip alignment. Zarah would make an excellent dressage horse, and I think she'd also be great in the hunter ring (although I haven't taken her over any jumps). She's been well started with plenty of ground work, including lunging, ground driving, and in-hand work.
She's a pleasure to work with, and goes well under saddle with the basics. I've focused on slow, foundational training, and have been working on rhythm, relaxation, and suppleness.
A recent change in my schedule has significantly affected the time I'm able to work with her, and that is the only reason she is for sale. With her youth, she's not a horse that can sit for a week, and have the expectation that you can hop on and she'll do everything perfectly from a week back. She deserves consistency in her work, and I'm disheartened that I'm not able to provide that for her right now. I'm hoping to find a really wonderful home for her, with people who appreciate her potential and will put her into a program/training to really allow her to shine.
She's at the perfect age now to really go to work, and I know she would excel in a program. She has the energy and stamina to handle a fairy heavy workload, and will develop into a really lovely mare with a little time. She will also love the it! She is a true "people horse," and loves her person (that's what makes selling her even harder!). She will bond with you, and look forward to seeing you every day. I will miss that!!
She stands perfectly still for the clippers, saddling, baths well, trims (goes barefoot currently), loads/unloads with no issue (has only been hauled a few times). The right front heel of her hoof grows a little faster than her toe, but she does just fine with a regular trimming schedule and it's never bothered her movement. Healthy all around, some seasonal allergies (we live in a desert climate and there are fine dust particles in the air everywhere!) that can manifest as a runny nose but don't affect her in any other way. She's been on spirulina pellets from Smart Pak but may not need them in another climate. She's been ridden bareback several times and has also been on trails.
Zarah is a looker, a mover, and a sweetheart! Hoping to find her a great forever home.
