M. Knight, affectionately known as Misti, is a 16.3hh black Irish Sport Horse gelding, foaled December 2016, registered with the Irish Horse Register. He is an exceptionally athletic, kind, intelligent, and versatile horse who has the talent to develop with an experienced rider while remaining soft, forgiving, and personable enough to be a wonderful partner.
Knight has shown through Third Level in dressage and is currently schooling Fourth Level. He has competed over fences to approximately 1.15m and has schooled to 1.25m. He also has cross-country and trail experience, including exposure to water, ditches, roads, traffic, varied terrain, and open spaces.
He is traffic-safe, comfortable outside the arena, social in turnout, and not a bully in the herd. He can comfortably go barefoot, although he is currently shod for protection. He is quiet for grooming, bathing, tacking, loading, farrier work, and handling, and he has a particularly affectionate, people-oriented personality.
Knight is not a horse who needs to live a competition-only life. He enjoys having a job and regular partnership, whether that means dressage, jumping, eventing, trail riding, clinics, or simply being a well-loved riding horse.
A comprehensive PPE with full-body imaging, radiographs including the back and neck, and bloodwork was recently completed for a serious prospective buyer, and veterinary records/radiographs can be provided for review by an interested buyer's veterinarian.
He is being offered only because our daughter, his primary rider, is unable to continue riding following a serious car accident. This is a family decision, not a profit-driven sale. We are looking for a permanent, knowledgeable, loving home where Misti will remain part of the family.
