Introducing Street, He is a gorgeous 15 yr old thoroughbred stallion. He stands just over 16 HH weighs approximately 1300 lbs He came out of Ocala, Florida as a three yr old where he held the track record for thoroughbred sprinters. We have crossed him on our cow- horse bred mares for the last 12 years and he has added color (dominant Rose Grey gene) and size but kept the mares disposition and athletic ability in all of his offspring. We have pasture bred and hand bred him, he is generally easy to handle and is good with the mares and foals. He had not been ridden in 5 years and I saddled him, chased him around the round pen a minute each direction and got on and rode off, no problem. Made the video the next day. He is barefoot in the video and we keep him barefoot unless we are riding him regular. He has a wire cut on his left front pastern that resulted in an enlargement around that pastern but he has never been lame on it. I have included photos at the end. We haven’t ridden him much, but what we have he is gentle and willing to do about anything. I have never carried a flag or had a tarp around him before we took this video and he did not care about the flag at all or crossing water which he hasn’t done much of. He is easy to catch, bathe, haul, tie, whatever you need to do with him. When he was six, we entered him in a relay race and he ran the last leg of three horses. The first horse ran 440 yards, then had to tag the next rider who threw their saddle on, jumped on and ran 440, to street, ran by him as they tagged the third rider, who threw her saddle on him, got on and ran from the backside to the finish line which he won easily! He stood great while horses came in, while he was being saddled and while mounting. Street is an outstanding individual, he has beautiful, babies that are easy to train, he will be an amazing addition to anyones program!
