Pepper is an approx 2011, 15 y/o appy gelding. He is THE friendliest horse I have ever known, loves attention, and v. versatile. Would make a great pasture companion, or therapy horse. He is not being sold as a riding horse due to the fact he had kissing spine surgery in 2022 (though I competed with him extensively after surgery, it was a success), and a history of hock arthritis. Pepper could potentially be brought back into light riding work if he had a full set of shoes (thin soles), daily Equioxx (on now), and bodywork. I’ve done everything, and then some, with this horse, including dressage, trail riding, camping, western pleasure, 4-H. He would make a fantastic in-hand horse as well, he knows all the moves etc. and likes having something to do! Super smart and likes working. He also loves Liberty work. Letting him go breaks my heart, it’s been a v. difficult decision over a few years. I believe he deserves to find a more interesting life than I can currently give him. I leave for college in less than two years. He is my heart-horse, and I will be very picky with where he goes. If you think you could be a good home for him, please reach out! He would love to live with friends. He didn’t used to be buddy sour but is now with his current mare, who is also up for sale. I’m looking to find him his forever home. He was bounced around a bit before I got him in 2021. He crosses water, ponies, bathes, ties, but needs oral sedation for his feet due to past negative experiences. He is a goofball, funny personality, will become your best friend, as he has been mine for so long. Will provide all of his blankets, etc. Would love to get him settled into his new home soon.
