Onyx Approx. 7 Years Old
Onyx is a handsome, athletic project with lots of potential. He is a gorgeous mover with a sweet nature and becomes willing and connected once he develops trust in his handler.
Onyx was sold to me as a ready-to-go-in-any-direction mount for my daughter, but during our time with him, it has become clear that he needs more time, confidence-building, and foundational work before he will be the right match for her. I already have a 2-year-old green project and simply don't have the time for two.
Onyx is handled daily and has been hand-walked extensively around our 20-acre property and on trails. He enjoys getting out and exploring, though he can be watchy and alert. He was previously trail ridden with the person I purchased him from.

Onyx is sweet but can initially be shy and cautious. He does best with a patient, confident handler willing to earn his trust rather than rush him. With consistency and the right person, he has the athleticism and potential to develop into a very nice little horse.
He is being sold as a project, not as a finished or currently suitable children's mount. Looking for a knowledgeable home prepared to continue building his confidence and foundation.
