Carmen is a gorgeous QH/Morgan X. She was bought out of an auction several years ago as a 3yr. Under saddle she was more go than whoa and preferred someone that understands a true half halt. Amazing jumper with square knees and lots of scope. Had jumped 3’ no problems, evented starter level, and showed in the .80 division at Swan Lake. She has always been barefoot and is fat on air. She would do best in a dry lot, or someone who would use a grazing muzzle/ monitor her weight consistently.

Unfortunately when she was sent out of trial a couple years ago, she mysteriously went lame in the right hind and has not been 100% since. She would need considerable veterinary work ups to determine if she has a riding future + maintenance. We tried rest and slow rehab, but ultimately she has been a companion/ used for grooming/unmounted lessons since.

She is young with a lot of life left. She would make beautiful babies, or serve well as a companion or a unmounted therapeutic horse. She has been handled on the ground by countless kids and is very kind/easy to handle. She truly enjoys attention and would love to have kids groom her daily. When on trial, the kid used to read books lying in her back in the field. We hate to see her not get the attention she deserves and hope to find her a loving family.
