He is an own son of the legendary JUST PLAIN CAT (by High Brow Cat), the 2006 NRCHA World’s Greatest Horseman Champion. Out of the great mare PF BLONDYS HICKORY – AQHA Open Performance ROM and multiple State, Regional and National Awards in the American Stock Horse Association and the American Ranch Horse Association including 2015 ASHA National All-Around Non Pro Champion. Wynnston has all the natural athleticism, and versatility you would expect from his world-class pedigree.
Wynnston has a fantastic foundation. He is soft, willing, and handles nicely. He has the talent to go in any direction—whether you want a performance standout for roping, ranch riding, ranch sorting, or a trail companion. He lopes off soft, knows his leads, stops, backs, and side passes. You can open and close gates off of him, drag objects and rope off of him. He is started on turn arounds and lead changes. He is easy to be around, quiet on the ground, and great for the vet and farrier.
Wynnston is 100% sound, in full work, and requires zero performance maintenance. In May 2025, he underwent a successful emergency surgery at the UF Large Animal Hospital for a fecalith (impaction) removal. He made a seamless, 100% full recovery with absolutely no complications. He was systematically brought back into full work and has been completely problem-free ever since. To keep him at his best, his daily management is simple - we feed him perineal peanut hay and grain. He requires no special medications. He also has a scar on his right hind leg that occurred as a baby. He has never shown signs of unsoundness at all.
