This one is a little harder to write. Quest has been with me for a long time, and after being sold for about a year, he came back to me roughly a year and a half ago. He’s been a big part of my program and has taught a lot of riders over the years. Quest has been used for beginner lessons, English and Western riding, and he really does just about anything you ask of him in the arena. He’s a good boy who knows his job and has experience with riders of different levels. His biggest issue is the trail. He gets very anxious out on the trails, so I would not consider him a suitable trail horse for most riders. I also want to be completely transparent about his soundness. He can be good for months at a time and then come up lame, only to be good again for months. I suspect his arthritis may be catching up with him, and at this point, he simply isn’t getting utilized like he deserves to be. I’m asking $800 OBO, but the right home is far more important to me than the price. I’d love to see him go somewhere that understands his age and limitations and can give him a purpose, whether that’s light riding when he’s feeling good, a lesson/arena horse for the right situation, or simply a comfortable place to enjoy retirement. I’m happy to answer any questions and be completely honest about Quest and his history. 📍 Galesburg, MI
