Lucy (Quick Conversation) 16.1h, 2018 thoroughbred mare by Frosted and out of Girlfriend (Distorted Humor) Lucy is a well built, big bodied, athletic mare. She’s jumped up to 2’9” at home and free jumped over 3’. Because her owner is new to jumping, she hasn’t been asked to go higher. 2’9” feels quite easy for her and I have no doubt she can go higher. She is easy to handle, stands great for the farrier, has been trail riding and been hauled to shows and other off-property schooling opportunities. I’ve even had deer jump out near us while trail riding and she doesn’t bat an eye. She stands quietly tied to the trailer and does not get nervous in new places. Lucy requires a more forward ride, and would do best with someone already confident over jumps. She isn’t too strong in the bridle and goes in just a tongue relief baucher bit right now, but can be sensitive and needs someone who will confidently support her to really shine. No matter what she’s doing or where she is, Lucy is always happy to come back to a walk or stand and quietly wait for her turn to go. I feel she would most enjoy a job in the jumper ring or fox hunting, but could pursue eventing as well. She lives out in a herd with other mares and is in the middle of the totem pole. Eats free choice hay and purina strategy once a day. She has front shoes on for the summer but has been barefoot as well. Up to date on vaccines and teeth.
