If you’re looking for one that’s already ahead of the game and backed by a pedigree that flat produces winners, take a look at SCC Penny N My Pocket, a 2023 bay filly that checks every box. She’s by Playin For Chics, a son of Chic Please (by the legendary Smart Chic Olena, an NRHA Million Dollar Sire) and out of Playgun-bred mare Playful Pockets, tying her into some of the most proven reined cow horse and rope horse blood in the industry. On the bottom side, she’s out of SCC Easters Reward, by Boons Power Player, a syon of Boonlight Dancer (NRCHA World Champion and sire of money earners across cutting and cow horse events) and out of a daughter of Boons Must Fox, another proven producer of gritty, trainable performance horses. Go a step further and you’ll find names like Freckles Playboy and Powder River Playboy, both legendary sires known for producing elite cutting, rope, and all-around horses that have dominated arenas for decades.

This filly carries generations of horses that have won at the highest levels and consistently produced earners, giving her the kind of foundation that doesn’t miss. And she’s not just paper she’s proving it. She has all the fancy buttons sliding stop, soft in the face, and rides around collected and correct. She’s been used in the back pens at pro rodeos shagging bulls and pushing calves, so she’s seen the lights, noise, and chaos and handles it like a veteran. She’s stood on high mountain high lines and packed out elk and ahe’s roped with grit and guts. She stands right at 15h, travels out with a big stride, and has the kind of athleticism that translates to any arena.

On top of that, she’s got the kind of personality everyone wants- in your pocket, sweet as they come, and easy to get along with every single day. No drama, no nonsense, just a willing filly that shows up and does her job.

With her mind, training, and stacked pedigree, she’s the kind that could go any direction and excel killer barrel prospect, solid calf horse, or a standout heel horse. And did I mention she’s safe! I can’t market a young horse as kid approved although she is one I would have NO problem putting my own kids on! She’s gentle gentle!
This isn’t one you hope makes it… this is one that’s already on her way.
