Maple
10YO 15HH Buckskin Mare
Trail Horse & Hunter Prospect
Deer Park, WA
Respectable ground manners, easy to lunge, stands to be mounted, ties, bathes, and hauls well. Barefoot. Gets along with geldings and mares in a pasture setting, lowest in the herd order. No health issues and UTD on shots & teeth.
Maples past life was very easygoing. Her previous owners didn’t do much with her aside from random fun stuff when their kids wanted to hang around her. While in our program, we have worked on a basic formal training start and she is WTC in the arena. She is definitely more of a push style ride and would be really fun for someone to develop their skills on. Super easy gaits and kind attitude.
Maple is steady on the trail and will ride in the front or back. She is fine being left behind and can venture off the trail on her own. Good with other horses and does not have an attitude when another horse is close to her. She did have 2 weeks with a trainer who specializes in trail work and did great riding out alone on some pretty rough trails.
Currently ridden in a 3 piece lozenge eggbutt bit, not ridden with spurs or a whip.
Maple would do well in a trail home where she can pack around her humans or with someone that wanted to pursue dressage/jumping. I believe she would make a super fun competitive english horse.
