Some horses catch your eye with their color, while others win you over with their personality—Diego does both. Diego is a 2021 model standing a strong 14.2 hands tall and is a beautiful Buckskin Quarter Horse Cross gelding with the looks, mind, and personality that are hard to find all wrapped into one. With his rich buckskin color, dorsal stripe down his back, black mane, and tail, three white socks, and those bright, kind eyes, Diego is sure to get noticed wherever you take him. It did not take Diego long to become a favorite around the barn. His kind, loving personality and willing take-care-of-you mindset are what really set him apart. Whether you want to hit the trails, ride down the road, spend the day in the arena, or load up and explore somewhere new, Diego is the kind that simply goes along with the program. He wants to be there for his rider, and that is one of the things we enjoy most about him. Another thing that makes Diego so special is that he does not have to be ridden every day to stay the same dependable horse. Ride him once a week or once a month, and when you saddle him back up, he will step out like he was ridden yesterday. He does not need to stay in a steady program to keep his safe, willing mindset, making him a great fit for someone who may not have time to ride every day but still wants a horse they can feel comfortable getting back on. Western, English, bareback, or even bridle less—Diego does not mind. He has very comfortable gaits from the walk to the trot and canter, making him enjoyable to sit and ride. He knows his leads and has nice, smooth transitions between his gaits. Whether you are spending time in the arena or covering miles down the trail, Diego gives you a comfortable ride. Ride him out alone or in a group. Put him in the front, middle, or back. Take him somewhere he has never been before, and he handles the new sights and sounds like he has seen them a hundred times. That willing, easygoing mindset is what makes Diego such an enjoyable horse to have around. Diego has been ridden on state roads in traffic as well as small country roads and never bats an eye. He has been on miles of trails through the woods and open fields, up and down hills, over logs, through creeks and water, and is sure-footed along the way. He has also been ridden in both the indoor and outdoor arenas, and it simply does not matter to him where you decide to ride. He is good with jugs, tarps, whips, and even gunshots. Diego also lays down and sits up, adding even more to his fun personality and versatility. Diego is every bit as enjoyable on the ground as he is under saddle. He is a gem in the barn, whether he is standing in his stall, being groomed and tacked up, or enjoying a bath in the wash bay. Turn him out by himself or with a group of horses, and he does well either way. He is often one of the first to meet you at the gate, ready for some attention and whatever adventure you have planned next. Load him in the trailer, haul him
