Chief is a beautiful and lovable 9 yr old OTTB, 16.2hh, registered with papers in hand. Excellent breeding, his grand sire is “Curlin”. He would excel in a home where he has a job or consistent work. If you are consistently working him he’s safe, quiet and dependable. If he sits or you are inconsistent with him he tends to develop bad habits. He recently completed 45 days of tune up training with me and did excellent! He has the best personality,
with little to no spook. Chief would excel in these categories:
✔️ Trail horse
✔️ Obstacle events
✔️ Ranch trail events
He has learned good ground manners. He is not fancy broke but he moves off legs, flexes laterally very softly, rides in a snaffle bit currently, backs, will cross tarps, water, logs, etc with ease, he’s good with dogs, tractors, leads behind the side by side, no buck, rear, bite, kick while under saddle ever, loads and hauls nicely (will need extra tall trailer), loves baths and water, shod all around, easy to catch, he’s in the middle of the peking order, he has a few old scars but they do not affect him in any way, can be kept in pasture, paddock or stall but would prefer him to go to a home where he has plenty of room to move around, current owners hop on him bareback in their backyard, he’s walked through their house and he hangs out as part of the family! Looking for a wonderful new home that will love him as much as they do, we will be picky where he goes.
