Meet Shimmering Scooter ("Scooter"), a 2021 model registered AQHA dapple gray gelding standing 15.0 hands tall with a snip and 4 short socks. Scooter is a true unicorn gelding offering thick-made conformation, straight legs, and the ideal mind, disposition, and athletic ability for any rider.
Versatility & Arena Experience: Scooter has been shown in Ranch Horse Pleasure and 4-H Western Pleasure, and used in western riding lessons for all ages and skill levels. Smooth-gaited with a slow, collected lope, he is safe and gentle enough for beginners yet can step up nicely for advanced riders.
Ranch, Trail & Mounted Shooting: Scooter is experienced on feedlots doctoring cattle/calves, knows ropes without spooking, carries flags at rodeos, works drill teams, and is an ideal mounted shooting candidate you can shoot off of. He rides trails through national parks and crosses rivers with ease.
Desensitization & Ground Manners: Thoroughly desensitized to cattle, traffic, trains, motorcycles, dogs, and large crowds. He stands like a statue for the farrier and vet, gets along with herd mates, and can sit in a stall for a week then ride off quiet and gentle without requiring maintenance or medications.
Veterinary Inspection: Backed by an official pre-sale physical examination from Five Points Veterinary Care LLC (Adria Anderson, DVM) dated June 16, 2026. The exam recorded normal vitals (temp 100.1°F, pulse 32, respiration 16), normal eyes, ears, mouth, skin, and urogenital system, no indications of lameness or laminitis, and all flexion tests negative.
