Meet Leota she is AWESOME! Husband horse comes to mind because of her size don’t worry she’s used to me calling her a big chunky girl! She definitely is a STOUT mare and built like a TANK! She stands about 15.2 hands tall. She is a Friesian/Morgan cross. She both DRIVES & RIDES and SAFE both ways. She is 11yrs old which I think is a pretty good age. In harness she does EXCELLENT I’ve driven her down a major highway with big trucks, motorcycles, and all sorts of vehicles that go 60 mph by her. I had to air up my carriage wheels after I already hitched her so… I can be lazy and didn’t want to unhitch her. So I thought let’s just see how well you stand. And I had her stand untied next to the shop while I went and turned the air on for the air compressor had the hose next to the cart which makes a pshhh noise when it comes on and she just cocked her ear back and that was all. She stood very well while I aired up all four tires. We also had a German shepherd come charging out at us while we had 3 cars coming up behind us and all she did was slow down like I asked and picked her head up and watched that German shepherd and never once did a thing wrong. Under saddle she does just as good. She is NOT easily fazed. She will cross all the creeks, bridges, big logs, etc. She is a POWERHOUSE going up steep hills and she picks her way down careful. She will step up any bank and step down any bank. She will ride out alone just fine or ride with another horse fine. She is NOT a fast horse so usually she’s in the back, but she will lead out too. And she will leave the other horse out on the trail and go another way. She has seen wildlife and she’s quite used to riding with a dog that likes to run full blast up behind her at times. She has good ground manners and will definitely be your farriers favorite one to trim. She stands extremely well and holds her feet up for the farrier. She stands good for mounting. Loads right in the trailer and backs right out and hauls well. She gets along in a mixed herd of 9-10 horses. She has had foals in the past currently not in foal. But if you do ever decide to have a foal with her she is a very good mother and throws very stout big babies! She’s been with the same owner for the past 7 years so we know pretty much her entire history. She’s for sale due to no fault of her own. They just have too many and are looking to downsize their herd as they aren’t doing as many horses anymore. She is an easy keeper so she’s only on pasture or grass hay NO grain required and NO maintenance required. She’s still young at 11 although I forget she’s only 11 because she’s so true and steady all the time. She’s a safe Mare NO bad habits or vices. She comes up to date on shots, coggins, dewormings, farrier, and a PPE. two three one6707101
