Meet Don The Oakleys ("Don"), an eye-catching 2-year-old registered Friesian Blood Horse gelding standing 16.1 hands tall with a gorgeous solid black coat and flowing tail. Sired by a purebred Friesian and out of a Percheron cross mare, Don combines draft substance with athletic sporthorse style.
Training & Driving Versatility: Don has the right start to go almost anywhere. He has worked for most of his life, handles work under saddle, and has been hooked to a cart and driven under harness successfully. He picks up both leads, moves easily off seat and leg cues, and is super easy to sit on with a smooth, flat movement.
Trail & Traffic Experience: Don crosses logs, water, and bridges smoothly. He has been on the road, handles traffic well, and has worked around cattle and various farm animals.
Equine Disposition: He is ridden in both English and Western tack (looking stunning in both), has been taken over low jumps, and enjoys attention with his easy-going, willing personality.
Veterinary Inspection: Backed by an official pre-purchase examination from Equine Veterinary Hospital of Northern Indiana, PC (Julia Coyle, DVM) updated to 2026. Accompanied by a negative Coggins test drawn by Wilhelmina deBoer, BVMS.
