Some horses are special, and then there are horses like Santiago, who touch your soul in a way that’s difficult to put into words.
Santiago is an absolutely incredible, smooth-riding Mustang and genuinely one of the best horses I’ve ever owned. He has the sweetest personality, is absolutely adorable with children, and is the kind of horse you can put just about anybody on.
He is extremely sure-footed and has traveled extensively through the mountains of Arizona, Utah, and Idaho. From rugged mountain trails and rocky terrain to beautiful lakes and water crossings, Santiago has been an amazing adventure partner. He absolutely LOVES water!
He loads perfectly, is an absolute dream for the farrier, and is simply a pleasure to have around. He’s affectionate, loves giving kisses, and has such a gentle, loving nature.
But what makes Santiago truly extraordinary is his spirit. There is something incredibly soulful about this horse. He has a quiet, almost spiritual presence, and when he looks into your eyes, it feels as though he’s looking straight through you and into your soul. He’s that special.
Selling Santiago is going to be incredibly difficult for me. He’s honestly the perfect horse to have around, and I absolutely adore him. With the people who normally ride alongside me no longer able to join me, I simply don’t need a second riding horse right now. And although my heart would love to keep him, I’m feeling strongly impressed that it’s time to make this move.
I’m not looking to simply sell a horse. I’m hoping to find the right person who will recognize just how extraordinary Santiago is and give him the love, adventures, and appreciation he deserves.
He’s truly one of those once-in-a-lifetime horses. ❤️
