Meet Don the Oakleys ("Don"), a striking 4-year-old registered solid black Friesian x Percheron gelding standing 16.1 hands tall with a flowing mane and tail. Sired by purebred Friesian stallion Zebb M and out of a Percheron cross mare, Don combines draft-cross presence with athletic elegance.
Saddle & Driving Versatility: Don is well-schooled under both English and Western tack with exceptionally smooth, flat movement that is super easy to sit. He moves off seat and leg cues, picks up both leads, pops over low jumps, and is doing great under harness as a trained driving horse.
Trail, Traffic & Farm Proven: Experienced on roads and trails, Don crosses logs, water, and bridges calmly while handling traffic with confidence. He has been worked around cattle and various animals, taking everything in stride with a willing, easygoing personality.
Registration & Temperament: Fully registered with the Friesian Blood Horse Registry (FBHR Reg #20234057-202). He loves attention, has a very laid-back attitude, and remained completely unbothered when introduced to desensitization equipment like a large yoga ball.
Veterinary Inspection: Backed by an official Soundness Evaluation performed by Dr. Julia Coyle, DVM, updated to August 4, 2026. The exam confirmed negative hoof testers, no lameness on the baseline walk/trot in hand or at the walk/trot/canter on the lunge line, and clean flexion responses.
