Meet Rio, a handsome 5-year-old bay Quarter Horse / Draft cross gelding standing 15.2 hands tall with a facial blaze and a small sock. Rio is a user-friendly, highly versatile gelding that gives every rider total confidence the moment they step into the stirrup.
Arena & Reining Capability: Rio is 100% neck reined, always picks up the correct leads, and features a smooth, comfortable trot and lope. He handles new environments calmly and has been predominantly ridden by teenagers, proving safe and enjoyable for riders of varying experience levels.
Trail & Water Expert: Extremely sure-footed on the trail, Rio confidently crosses logs, navigates deep water, and climbs steep hills without hesitation. He loves the water, rides double with ease, and is a worry-free partner for long trail rides.
Ground Manners & Care: Uncomplicated to own and requires no maintenance. Easy to catch, gets along great with other horses, bathes quietly, trailers like a seasoned professional, and stays sound even without consistent riding.
Veterinary Inspection: Accompanied by an official veterinary examination letter from R. Hammer, DVM Veterinary Services (Richard Hammer, DVM) updated to August 28, 2026 (issued September 1, 2026), certifying him healthy and fit.
