Buckshot Pete is a sweet 9-year-old OTTB looking for his next person and, most importantly, a great home!

Buckshot has more recently been used for trail riding and arena work. He rides both English and Western and has primarily been ridden by intermediate to advanced riders. With consistent work and continued miles, we believe he has the potential to become a beginner lesson horse.

He will walk, trot, and canter both directions in the arena and has been ridden bareback and double without a hitch. He is easy to catch and is usually waiting for you at the gate. Buckshot does best in a small herd and pasture setting and makes a great babysitter for younger horses. He ties, loads, and leads with ease.

On the trails, Buckshot does best when he can walk out in front rather than follow a slower horse. He is easy to saddle but can get a little anxious and dance around afterward, so he benefits from consistency and a regular routine.

Buckshot does best with year-round shoes, daily grain, and alfalfa. He does have an old slab fracture in his front right from his racing days, which does not appear to affect him.

Buckshot is a sweet boy with a lot to offer, and we believe that with consistent work and the right person, he could make someone a wonderful addition. We want to find him a home where he will be loved, enjoyed, and given the opportunity to continue thriving.

Asking low to mid fours, negotiable for the right home. Finding him a great home is our biggest priority!
