Petey has done a variety of different things- eventing, SJ, dressage and trail riding, but seems to most excel at the dressage. Easy to package and very in tune with his rider! If you are looking for a partner that is gonna put in 100% every ride he is the one! He would make an excellent lower level or amateur dressage horse and does have potential to do more with the right rider! He is currently doing 2nd level, and while he has been a back burner for me due to time and money and other obligations, he has been happily ridden by an amateur for most of the last summer and it is time for him to find his new forever home! He is great on the ground, good for the farrier, loads well, and is a sweetheart. No bad habits. He goes out on trail in groups and solo, not spooky. Does occasionally get excited with cold weather walking to the turn out field, and with other horses while trail riding faster (trot-canter), but does fine solo. He was a good racehorse and won a lot when he was younger. Generally low maintenance, has had hocks done last two years. Otherwise minimal to no maintenance! Willing to negotiate to the right home. Not suitable for a beginner or someone who wants to ride once a week. Currently lives in a large paddock and goes to turn out in a larger pasture. Does well stalled at shows, but would not do well in stall only situation for home. Great with other horses and very loving personality!
