Western Wisconsin

This is a hard one for me, but I’ve decided to offer Nova for sale.

Nova is a beautiful 3-year-old, double-registered AQHA/APHA mare with great bloodlines and so much potential.

She has had 90 days of professional training with Cassandra Freer at CS Performance Horses and did extremely well. She’s athletic, willing to learn, and incredibly smart. And when I say smart, I mean really smart! She’s the kind of horse that figures things out quickly, including how to get her own way sometimes. She definitely has a personality! She needs someone who can stay one step ahead of her, be consistent, and appreciate a horse that likes to think for herself.

I bought Nova with every intention of keeping her as my forever horse, and honestly, if I had the time, I absolutely would.

But between work, kids’ sports, family, and the never-ending list of things on my to-do list, I just don’t have the time to ride her consistently. And the more I think about it, the more I realize I’m never going to use this mare to the best of her abilities.

Nova has way too much potential to spend most of her time standing in my pasture. She deserves someone who has the time, experience, and patience to bring out everything she’s capable of.

She’s still young, and with as smart as she is, she needs someone who will be consistent, set clear expectations, and not let her outsmart them. I really believe that in the right hands, she’s going to be one heck of a horse.

I’m not in a position where I have to sell her, and I’m not going to give her away. Finding the right home is what matters most to me.
