Green but gregarious, this 2019 OTTB is ready for his second career. Gig retired from racing in 2025 and was given plenty of time to rest, wind down, and adjust to life off the track.

Gig is 16.3 and a very sweet boy, eager to learn and looking for a job. He wants to bond with his human. However, Gig is not a beginner’s horse and would do best with a patient, gentle rider who can stay calm through his quirks as he learns and builds fitness. Gig is currently being worked regularly by an adult amateur both on the lunge and under saddle, taking time to install the basics and build confidence. He will continue to be worked until sold.

Gig absolutely loves to be groomed, especially when you find that itchy spot on his neck! He turns out well with other horses, leads, stands in the wash rack and is great for the farrier. He stands patiently in the cross ties and stands quietly for mounting.

Gig is offered for sale as a blank slate with lots of potential. He was recently vetted and records are available for serious buyers.

Will entertain all reasonable offers as a loving home is priority. Get him now before his price goes up in the spring to reflect his growing education!
