Meet Sophie, the ultimate smooth-riding and safe babysitter—a 5-year-old buckskin Rocky Mountain mare standing 14.0 hands tall with a facial blaze, strip, snip, and solid black stockings on all four legs. Sophie is non-mareish, loving, kind, and genuinely enjoys being around people, making her an ideal family partner.
Kids' Lesson & Family Proven: Previously owned by a family where their daughter grew up riding her for years. Described by the kids as "if you can sit on her, you can ride her," offering a safe "more whoa than go" disposition.
Trail & Obstacle Reliable: Extensively trail-ridden in front, middle, or back of the pack. Confidently crosses creeks, logs, and ditches, packs saddlebags and speakers, and goes wherever she is pointed.
Gentle & Zero-Drama Mindset: Safe with zero bite, rear, kick, or buck. She is a confidence-builder who never looks for a fight and is easy to catch in the pasture.
Ground Manners & Handling: Stands quietly for the farrier, uses a mounting block to stand for mounting and dismounting, and loads and unloads with absolute ease.
Veterinary Inspection: Backed by an examination from Bath Veterinary Clinic (Dr. Joe Anderson, DVM) dated October 9, 2026, confirming she appears sound with no obvious signs of illness, alongside an official negative UKVDL EIA Coggins test drawn October 9, 2026.
