Sudden, unforeseen life circumstances force this sweet, intelligent boy on the market. Whiskey was previously ranched on but has since sat for several years. He's received inconsistent training to get back under saddle due to the owner's pregnancy. Progress was initially hindered by ulcers (now successfully treated) and he needs a consistent, fair hand to bring him back into work.

Whiskey has the potential to succeed in any direction, including high school and college rodeo events, or back to working cows. He's light, quick, thoughtful, and eager to please once he gets to know you. He's comfortable both being roped, having a rope swung over his head, and can be saddled and bridled with minimal effort. He knows how to lunge, responds to many voice cues, changes directions and stops like a dream. Not spooky, but he can be snorty in new situations until he has confidence in his handler.

No known lameness or soundness issues. He's an easy keeper on good hay, has solid bare feet, and plays nice with others as a low man on the totem. Up to date on trims, dentals, and vax.

Due to being a restart, he is available to experienced rider/trainer or an intermediate student working with a trainer only.

*Note: he typically goes in a western saddle. I did not have his tack available for photos, only had my Aussie saddle on hand.*
