Meet Pocahontas, a stunning, thick-built 5-year-old grade sooty buckskin Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse mare standing 14.3 hands tall with white heel bulb markings. Pocahontas possesses the rare gift of patience and kindness, combining gorgeous balance and beauty with an unforgettable, steady disposition.
Kid-Tested & Beginner Safe: Ridden independently by 4-year-old and 7-year-old children to help teach them how to ride. Adjusts effortlessly to any skill level, making her an ideal partner for timid beginners or experienced riders alike.
One-Hand Handle & Bombproof Trail Pro: Broke with a smooth one-hand neck rein, stops and backs with ease, and moves willingly off leg pressure. Confidently handles rugged mountain climbs, water, and logs, and is completely unbothered by gunfire, bullwhips, flags, tarps, traffic, ATVs, bikes, or dogs.
Steady & Low Maintenance: Same gentle, willing horse every time you pull her out of the pasture, requiring no consistent riding to stay quiet. Rides out alone or in a group and is never barn or buddy sour.
Impeccable Ground Manners: "In-your-pocket" personality who genuinely adores attention. Easy to catch, stands patiently to be tacked, mounted, and shod, packs saddlebags/speakers/game, rides double, and loads, unloads, and hauls with total ease.
Veterinary Inspection: Backed by an exam from Tri County Veterinary Service (Dr. Haley Daniels, DVM) dated September 18, 2026, certifying she is sound at a walk, free of obvious wounds or scars, and has normal vitals (temp 99.7°F), alongside an official negative EIA Coggins test drawn September 18, 2026
