Svein is a fancy boy and he knows it! He has big, warm blood type gates, smooth, large rolling canter and very nice manners. He bathes, stands for farrier, good ground manners, no destructive behaviors or vices. Never bucked, reared or bolted Currently barefoot and has very good feet for a TB. I ride him in scootboots in rocky areas. He has not been in consistent work for about a year because of my health so he will need some reconditioning and a tune up. Svein is looking for his next person, I love this horse and have done a lot with him in the 4 years I've owned him. But due to personal medical reasons I am not able to keep him in work and give him the time he deserves. Svein has a great work ethic and likes to please. He is friendly, comes to you in the field, respectful of personal space and generally easy to handle. He gets along well with other horses, mares or geldings in pasture. He thrives on routine, I used to ride him 4 to 6 times a week and he was always happy to show up to work for me. I have done primarily lower level dressage with him, but he has jumped a little bit too and did very well with that and enjoyed it. He likes a confident rider to rely on and can sometimes be easily distracted by other things going on in the environment, although he is very obedient and safe and not overly spooky. Svein is flashy and talented enough for a professional, but would do great with someone who wants to take his training to the next level and/or do some showing or just have a pretty horse to ride! Most people comment he looks more like a friesian sport horse than a thoroughbred. Not for beginners or young children (although a confident teen working with a trainer would do great with him I believe). PPE's welcome I am happy to help buyer coordinate shipping for him if desired, although I do not own a trailer so cannot deliver.
